SIP LTD  was set up in 1988 by the present shareholders. Initially trading solvent neutral base oils, the business quickly developed into new product areas. Over the years, White Oils and Drilling Fluids were added and in 1997, SIP began to concentrate solely on marketing speciality oils and fluids for premium products.

The development of a strong supplier base has always been a strategic goal throughout the company's history. Today SIP offers one of the most comprehensive ranges of base fluids in the industry, comprising hydrocracked, hydrotreated & isomerised dewaxed oils for use in a wide variety of applications.

SIP‘s activities are managed from its London office, whilst having up to 30,000 tonnes of storage capability strategically located within Europe.
